Privacy

PlayXiangqiBase is built so you can play without creating an account. The board position, the move list, and your win/loss Record live in this browser. AI moves and Hint run on your device. Closing the tab does not upload a “player profile,” and we do not need a nickname to let you move a chariot.

What stays on your device

  • Current board position, move history, clocks, and difficulty / play-as color — restored after you close or refresh the tab (cleared when you hit New game)
  • Record (win / loss) in this browser’s local storage
  • Sound on/off preference (default off until you enable it)
  • Light / dark theme preference
  • PWA install dismiss preference, when you hide the install chip

Clear site data, use a private window, or switch browsers, and those values start fresh. We cannot restore a game or Record you wiped. That is the trade for not running a cloud account.

Accounts and PWA

There are none. No sign-up, no password, no cloud sync of your board. Installing the site as a progressive web app still points at this origin; it does not create a user database or move your Record to our servers.

Analytics

No analytics measurement ID is configured right now. If we add aggregate analytics later, this page will name the provider and ID. Board moves are designed to stay local either way.

Ads

Display ads are not enabled today. Placeholders in the layout are empty slots, not live networks. If ads turn on later, third-party networks may set cookies under their own policies, and this page will be updated before they go live. Ads will not sit on top of the playable board — the river stays readable.

What may leave the device

  • Email you send us voluntarily (URL, screenshots, description of a bug)
  • Aggregate analytics if/when a measurement ID is configured
  • Normal host and security logs (IP, user agent, path, timestamp) for abuse prevention — not used to rebuild your board

Email you send us

If you write to contact@playxiangqibase.com, we use that address to reply or fix bugs. We do not add you to a marketing list of “Xiangqi players” or sell addresses. Do not put passwords or unrelated personal files in the message; a page URL and what broke is enough.

Children

The site is a general-audience board game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as a product feature. Gameplay data is local. If a parent believes a child emailed us personal details, contact us and we will delete that mail from our inbox when we can.

Changes
